Tahrir is a music group founded by an Iranian ney flute musician Mohammad Rasouli living now in Poland. Besides Mohammada Rasouli the group consists of musicians participating in many other projects promoting Easterm cultures: Marta Maślanka – santur, Robert Siwak – tombak, daf, Bartłomiej Pałyga – kemancha, sarangi, Rafał Mamiński – tar, rubab, tanbur. The repertoire consists mainly of Persian classical songs but there can also be found Afghan and Middle East folk music.
The group cooperated e.g. with State Ethnographic Museum (Państwowe Muzeum Etnograficzne) at the project Music in Museum (Muzyka w Muzeum).
