The music performed by Tam Tam Project cannot be described as 'artificial' or 'music-like' at all. It cannot be called the ethnic music neither. The African rhythms, Arabian or Gypsy melodies are rather a kind of the background for the improvisation.

There are also used motifs from classical music to perfectly match up all of the music worlds in one beautiful music unity.

There can be found modern, trance styles. Piotr Jackson Wolski is against all of the classifications and categorizations and finds his own artistic work an open artistic formula, not limited by any form and due to the lack of stylistic barriers - unexpected and the artists from distant cultural areas are able to follow where they have chosen.

The band is the pure cultural and artistic mixture: Piotr Jackson Wolski is a drummer of jazz roots (he performed e.g. with Tomasz Stańko), Mamadou Diuf is a vocalist deeply immersed in the African style. Besides the acoustic instruments, like various saxophones and percussions, there also can be heard Grzegorz Sorbian's electric guitars as well as 'live electronics' created by DJ Lalin.

According to Piotr Jackson Wolski the music is only the part of the band's message. The lyrics, sung and spoken in four languages: Wolof, Polish, French and Romani, are of the same importance.
