The Association was established in 1959.
It cooperates with the government of Iceland and Icelandic-Polish Friendship Association in Reykjavík thanks to what mutual friendship is consolidated. The members of the Association are: travelers, scientists, journalists, students and the youth. The Association is focused on culture and publishes 'Materiały o Islandii' (Papers on Iceland) and 'Islandia' (Iceland) both of which are focused on providing information about Iceland.
The Association organizes meetings, lectures, film reviews, provides information about the tourism in Iceland. It also cooperates with Icelandic Consulates in Poland.
The office of Polish-Icelandic Friendship Association is open on Mondays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (room 4, 1st floor).
