The community was registered in Poland in 1994 as a faith community 'Wspólnota Dzogczen w Polsce' (Dzogchen Community in Poland) and also belongs to Polska Unia Buddyjska (Polish Buddhist Union).
Because of the fact there are no special rules to be respected in dzogchen, the members of the Community are not obliged to lead a specific lifestyle or to respect some strict rules etc. The members of Dzogchen Community are to try to practice Buddha's teachings, such as Mahajana, what means to develop positive intentions and activities undertaken for the others.
