One of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Polish cinema. The film is set against a dreary backdrop of 1970s Poland. The Big Shar, an ageing but still admired sharper, is freed from prison, having served 5 years. He meets Jurek, a young cab driver who wants to pick his brains and learn the tricks of the trade. Hesitant at first, the Big Shar agrees to teach the boy.
