On the 25th May African diaspora all over the world celebrates the holiday of their continent: African Unity Day. The day before the date, Saturday, 24th May, will be the day for this holiday to take place in Warsaw - in the very centre of the city, at Defilad Square. The event will be a unique chance to look into the colourful mosaic which is created by African cultures. The main part of the event involves open air concerts (from 6.00 until 10.00 p.m.) given by Afro-Caribbean stars of Clive Brown & The Shekinah Singers group as well as by the best African musicians from all over Poland: Djolof-Man and guests, Goldfinger (Congo, Nigeria).
African Town, open from 3.00 p.m., will be a place for presentations of African art and cuisine as well as for workshops (drums, dance, cornrows) and Film Tent will hold film screenings.
African Unity Day will be a part of Warsaw celebrations of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue.

Clive Brown & The Shekinah Singers (UK): Clive Brown is one of the most charismatic musicians of contemporary gospel music. His music is a connection of traditional, lively gospel and modern arrangements, inspired by e.g. funk style. The group consists of the most talented musicians of the young generation from African and Afro-Caribbean diaspora in the United Kingdom.

Djolof-Man and guests (Senegal, Guinea, Congo, Poland): Afro and reggae – a special show will be given by the best African musicians living in Poland.
