'100 cultures 1 city' is a final part of a project organized by AIESEC which is an international student organization with local committees in 100 countries all over the world. This year AISEC committee at the Warsaw University is running the GOL project (Global Opportunity for Learning). It is aimed to encourage Warsaw language schools to take part in an exchange programme for foreign students. The second part of our project is a cultural event '100 cultures 1 city'. It will take place on the 12th of April 2008 at the Palace of Culture and Science in the centre of Warsaw. This is the second edition and the last year's edition attracted over 3000 people. The event if focused on presenting various cultures present in Warsaw e.g. through artistic workshops and stalls organized as a kind of a multucultural, global village.
The main partners are the President of Warsaw and the President of the University of Warsaw. The event is an occassion for the inhabitants of Warsaw to contact with cultural diversity. The trainees will present the cultures of their countries, it will be possible to try different national dishes, to learn different dances etc.
Continent Warsaw - Warsaw of Many Cultures is a media patron of the music event.
