Centrum Badań nad Zagładą Żydów (Polish Centre for Holocaust Research) was created to emphasize the importance of the problem of the Holocaust and genocide. It was founded by prof. Henryk Domański, Director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at Polish Academy of Science created on July 2nd, 2003. The main aim of the Centre is to create an interdisciplinary (historical, sociological, psychological, anthropological, literature, art) environment for researchers working on the Holocaust. Main aims:
  • conducting scientific research,
  • editing books,
  • organizing seminars and conferences,
  • cooperation with other institutions dealing with the same topics,
  • receiving exchange scholars,
  • educational activities - seminars and lectures at the university level and cooperation with educational institutions interested in Holocaust education in Poland and abroad.
