João Nascimento e Banda performs greatests carnival hits and their own compositions. The founder and leader of the group is João Carlos do Nascimento coming from Rio de Janeiro. The music experience he gained as a teenager made him to be interested in chorinho and rock. Because of this fact he moved to a place being a mekka for the music genres - the capital of Brazil - Brasilia city. Soon after he became known in the music environment of Brasilia. He recorded and toured with such artists like Lenine (Tour em Brasilia), Liberdade Condicional and Mamutes.
The group performs according to the Brazilian music instrument canons necessary to play the authentic sound of samba (instruments: small samba guitar cavalquinho, bass drum - surdo, pandeiro, cuica, bass guitar, vocal).
Together with his group he performs during the series of club events with Latin music lead by DJ Ed Szynszyl called Praia Latina and also at Brazilian Culture Festival organized by Brazilian Culture Association.
