The music performed by the group involves ritual percussion rhythms of the Afro-Cuban religion Santeria (also known as Regla de Ocha), what also involves the Orishas cult. This kind of music is performed by playing three Bata drums, which are hour-glass shaped and consists of two membranes. A Bata drum is played by hitting it with two hands in the drum. It is the way to make a rhythmical bass sound, which is called Oru del Igbodu if performed in the instrumental way. If there's dance and singing included, then the sound is called Oru Cantado or Guemilere. Rhythms performed by the group are primal and fascinating thanks to a lot of complex interactions among the parts played by drummers.
The repertoire is what the dance and singing dedicated Orishas is accompanied by in Cuba. Performances by the group is an occasion to get to know with the rich tradition.
The group has performed in many clubs in Warsaw and not only (Jazzgot, Maska, Enklawa, Tygmont, Pod Aniołem) and on the radio. Odo Irawo has often been appreciated for their music thanks to which they promote Afro-Cuban culture.
