... There can be found laws ruling art and expression regardless of time and place in Stefan Wierzbicki's sculpture. There can be found classical order and themes as well as novelties of 20th century. The art focused on sensual beauty together with allegorical and symbolical meanings. The absolutely formal beauty of structure and also the charm, the spell, the grace, ornamental value and richness in motifs.
The art of freedom towards rules and towards nature as well as the wisdom of order and moderation and also the shapes of conscious limitations. The explicit and hidden references to the music. The revealed beauty of the marble, granite, or sandstone, expression signs extracted from trunks of trees - oak, linden, maple, acacia, pear tree and cherry tree - place our 'tasting of the material' of works presented in the aesthetic and temporal context.
The formal beauty of structure, as well as charm, elegance, ornamental value and richness of motifs.
The art of the freedom towards rules and towards the nature as well as the wisdom of the order and moderation; the shape of self-imposed limitations.

First of all, his sculptures are harmonious, beautiful.
Everything else: the content, the subject, the mood, the texture, just the form, is conformed to this aim. I am enchanted by this: here is the modern and noble shape of the eternal tradition. Stefan Wierzbicki - extraordinarily talented, intellectually mature, sensitive to the subtle beauty of the shape and the sound - his first individual exhibition located in the cradle of the European sculpture: in Italy (Bolonia, 1975). Immediately he entered the main stream of the art and stayed there ever since.
