Próżna Street is the only one on the area of the former Warsaw Ghetto that preserved its authentic buildings on the both sides although almost the whole surrounding was destroyed during the occupation and post-war years. It was falling into ruin for years untill 2011 when the renovation of two out of four remaining tenements started.
