For Africa, Sahara desert is a natural division into two quite different parts. Northern Africa is referred to the world of Islam, history and heritage of which has an undoubted relation with the geographical closeness to Europe.
Southern Africa, so called Black Africa, being exploited as well as staying under various influences for centuries, has become a real melting pot.
And it was Black Africa - varied, full of contrasts, proud and mysterious - what made me feel so amazed that I decided to bring a little part of the region to Poland and it was because of that I opened Afryka Gallery in Warsaw. [...]
