Żydowski Uniwersytet Otwarty (Open Jewish Univeristy) is a project by Gołda Tencer and Shalom Foundation which aims to provide a highly-specialized knowledge about Jewish culture, art, social activity that created one of the most important components of Warsaw heritage. The University is open for anyone interested in Jewish topics.
What is also a crucial aim of the project is to stress the fact that activities of former Jewish communities in Warsaw have created the current image of the city - of a multicultural European capital.

The University is created as a typical open univeristy - the lectures and other activities are open for anyone who is over 18 years old and has paid for the modules that the programme consists of (the subjects: Jewish literature and its history, Jewish music and its history, everyday life versus the holiday in former and contemporary Jewish culture, the basics of Jewish philosophy).
