Museum Of The History Of Polish Jews is the project of Jewish Historical Institute in Poland. The Museum is being created as a modern multimedia center of education and culture, the formula of which differs from the traditional museum based on the presentation of collections and exhibits. The Museum has been a joint cultural institution of The Warsaw City Hall, The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Jewish Historical Institute Association since the end of the year 2005. The Museum is also founded thanks to the private sector and foundations from the USA, France, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, and Poland.
The works of the international team involved in the creation of the Museum has been carried out by an international team of experts which has been managed by the director of the project, Jerzy Halbersztadt. The preparations of the permanent exhibitions have been led by prof. Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblettz, New York University, with the support of experts from Poland, Great Britain and Israel.

The author pf the project is Rainer Mahlamaki, the winner of the International Architectural Competition which was announced in 2005.

Presently the Museum leads its educational, cultural as well as research and scientific programs.
