Studencka Międzyuczelniana Organizacja Kresowiaków SMOK

Studencka Międzyuczelniana Organizacja Kresowiaków SMOK (Student Interschool Organization of People from the Eastern Borderlands SMOK). The Organization was founded in September 1999 and as a association was registered on 24th January 2000. SMOK is an organization gathering young people of Polish roots coming from countries of past Soviet Union territories such as Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldavia, Bulgaria, Russia, Poland, Romania. The aim of SMOK is to represent and integrate students of Polish roots, to advise, help and support them as well as to provide necessary information about their rights and obligations. SMOK gathers some 300 people in Poland. The Association has its offices in Warsaw, Toruń, Lublin, Lódź, Cracow, Gdańsk, Katowice, Częstochowa, Białystok, Olsztyn and Kalisz.

In Warsaw SMOK is active at UW and SGH.
