Institute for Romanian Culture in Warsaw was founded in June 2006 and its aim is to promote the knowledge about Romania, its language and culture to make the partnership and cultural exchange between Poland and Romania easier.

The Institute in cooperation with Polish institutions organizes theatre plays, dance shows, music concerts, exhibitions, lectures, conferences, programmes for teaching Romanian language.

The programmes lanched by ICR in 2007 are:

 

 

 

  • Polska czyta Rumunię (Poland Reads Romania) is the programme of interpretations of contemporary Romanian literature in cooperation with Polish well known publishing houses
  • Rumunia bez pośredników (Romania Without Mediators) are held once a week meetings addressed to journalists and the Polish press institutions
  • Rumunia dla najmłodszych (Romania for the Youngest)
  • Smakowita Rumunia (Tasty Romania) is the programme full of tastes and smells thanks to which the Romanians are going to show to the Pole advantages of living in Romania
