Filmy prezentowane w ramach cyklu 'Polish films in English' są skierowane przede wszystkim do publiczności obcojęzycznej, ale także do osób uczących się języka angielskiego i wszystkich, którzy spragnieni są dobrego, polskiego kina na dużym ekranie.
Films presented within the 'Polish films in English' cycle are mainly intended for foreign-language audience, but also for people learning English, and everybody else who is hungry for good Polish productions on big screen.
'Bad Luck' tells a story in a grotesque caricature way, describing the unfortunate fate of an opportunist, who – in different conditions over twenty years – tries to please the current authorities. All these attempts at 'well seen' metamorphosis end in failure: Piszczyk remains the anti-hero, as all the changes he tries to make, always turn out to be made too late. He tries, at all costs, to adapt to requirements of the current political situation, but for various reasons, he does not succeed.
