Filmy prezentowane w ramach cyklu 'Polish films in English' są skierowane przede wszystkim do publiczności obcojęzycznej, ale także do osób uczących się języka angielskiego i wszystkich, którzy spragnieni są dobrego, polskiego kina na dużym ekranie.
Films presented within the 'Polish films in English' cycle are mainly intended for foreign-language audience, but also for people learning English, and everybody else who is hungry for good Polish productions on big screen.
'Blind chance'
The film shows three different fates of one man, Witek Dlugosz, three potential CVs per person, depending exclusively on the case. In the first sequence Witek is trying to catch the train to Warsaw and his fate depends on that. If he gets there on time, he will meet an old communist activist on the train, who pulls him into the orbit of power. If he bumps into a railway protection officer on the platform, not only he will not make it, but will also be punished, and thus join the political opposition. In the third version he meets a girl friend on the platform, which ends with their marriage and his career as an apolitical scientist. All variants have their finale at the Okecie airport, from where Witek has to fly abroad.
