Konoba is an international music group consisting of musicians performing West African music (from Mali, Guinea, Senegal, Burkina Faso) who are also known from many other non-African projects. Among members of the group are: Maxime Piazza, Ania Patynek, Michał Stasiak and Przemek Kalinka as well as Wiola Wojciechowska, a dancer and choreographer.
Konoba is first of all energetic percussion music performed with using African drums djembe and dundun along with very dynamic afro dance. Besides, instruments like kamelen’ngoni (a type of harp), karignan, n’tama or djabara appear.
