The group Miçanga was created thanks to music inspirations derived from sounds from Salvador in Bahia district in Brazil as well as African tribal rhythms and dances. The group makes dance instincts and natural joy of dance free. As the first and the only group in Poland, Miçanga presents the authentic samba-reggae and samba-afro sounds. Eduardo Poliński has created and performed music inspired by African sounds. His journeys always made him form another music projects. As the first musician in Poland he started playing timbale - an instrument used by the groups from Salvador called Bloco Afro. His hand and instrument repinique are what lead the project Miçanga.
The rhythm base involves four surdo drums. Besides the perfectly beaten rhythm, percussionists change their places, dance, play with the music all of what makes their performances unforgettable shows with deep sounds, coming from African land.

Another exotic instrument used by the group is chocalho. The instrument may seem simply and resembles the tambourine. What is similar in the two instruments is the fact they both are consisted of many round elements . Thanks to chocalho the music performed by the group has the characteristic Brazilian swing. The instrument is used by most of the Brazilian music projects. There is also used rataplan or caixa which is a kind of rataplan as well and is characteristic for samba schools in Brazil.

The musicians have been performing together creating various groups for years. If it is necessary, there are more or less people involved in the project. What dominates are Afro-Brazilian rhythms like samba, sambareggae, maculelê, samba de roda, capoeira, samba-afro, timbalada as well as funk Rio and hip-hop.
