The Buddhist Association Benchen Karma Kamtsang brings together people who practice Tibetan Buddhism, according to Karma Kamtsang school's tradition, also known as the Karma Kagyu. Centres of the Association can be found in a number of cities in Poland, including Warsaw.
 
The highest spiritual authority of this school is His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa. The Association operates under the direct care of the Benchen monastery and his abbots belonging to the most important Lamas of the Kamtsang Karma school: His Eminence Sangye Rinpoche and Venerable Nyenpa Tenga Rinpoche.
 
The Association is a member and the founder of the Polish Buddhist Union under the patronage of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Since 2011 is also a member of the European Buddhist Union.
