The name of the Temple "Vara ..." is translated as "The one who Eliminates All Suffering". Sri Swami Vishwananda explained that the name is very advantageous and, that Vara Lakshmi is very merciful and has the power to make all dreams come true, whatever one wishes for. According to Swami, the more you cherish it, the more Vara Lakshmi will please its worshippers.
The official inauguration and opening of the Temple took place on Februray 13/14th 2009 by Sri Swami Vishwananda, who named it Vara Lakshmi Narasimha. In the temple there are stone Murti of Lord Narasimha and his eternal partner Lakshmi.
There are daily prayers taking place In the temple as well as celebrations of various yearly holidays. Every Sunday morning, at 10:00 the Abiszekam of Lord Narsimha and Lady Lakshmi takes place and then everybody received their Darszan.
The Teacher
Swami Vishwananda is a spiritual master, born in 1978 on Mauritius in a Hindu family. Since the early childhood, he had demonstrated a huge interest in religious traditions and spirituality. He had lived with the conscious presence of God and the Saints. His extraordinary personality began to attract many people who were coming for the advice and blessing. After graduation, Swami completely devoted himself to his mission as spiritual teacher and began to travel to Africa, Europe and other parts of the world. Swami Vishwananda connects All cultures and religions. He has a special love bond with Jesus Christ and His message, rich in unselfish love and acceptance. A natural easiness with which Swami Vishwananda connects the elements of the west tradition with Hindu spirituality, allows people to be granted a very personal experience with divinity, irrespective of culture, gender or age. ‘We are all brothers and sisters and we come from the same God. Our true identity, hidden behind our emotions and thoughts of the everyday life, is the soul, our own true Me. In order to achieve an external unity with all our brothers and sisters, we need to achieve an internal unity between body, mind and soul. We have to accept and love ourselves the way we are, with our bodies, emotions and thoughts, and with this, aim at the Soul. People must remember that we all come from the same origin, and to the same origin we’ll return.’
