Polish-Burma Solidarity Association was registered on 19th January 2005. It was founded by the Burmese living in Poland and as well as Polish citizens interested in the problems of Burma (Myanmar) and also organizations from Western Europe particularly BCN organization (Burma Centrum Nederlands). The Association is a member of EBN (Euro Burma Network) coordinating activities of all non-governmental organizations in the EU focused on Myanmar issues. Aims of the Association are:

• To provide reliable information about the political situation in Burma/Myanmar
• To lobby for the democracy and human right in Burma/Myanmar among Polish authorities
• To support the EU policies on Myanmar and to present it to the Polish authorities
• To inform the Polish public about the human right situation in Myanmar
• To popularize Burmese culture in Poland

The Association is carrying out the aims by gathering, analyzing and transferring the information of Burma to the public thanks to publications, the Internet, meetings, lectures. The Assotiation is supported by the membership fees, donations from sponsors.
