The Jewish Historical Institute is focused entirely on the study of the history and culture of Jews. It is the largest depository of Jewish-related archival documents, books, journals, ritual and art objects connected with the culture of Polish Jews.

The Institute is the educational and infromational centre for the wide audience both from Poland and abroad. The aim of The Institute is to educate the society, overbreak common stereotypes and work against prejudices.
