The Association was registered in 1995 and gathers 120 members. The main aims of the Association are: to affiliate and cultivate friendly contacts among the Hungarians living in Poland, to present Hungarian culture and language among the children and youth, to help to solve problems of the members of the minority and also to provide information about Hungarian language and heritage for the Pole.

The Community also deals with organizing meetings of its members and state holidays as well as organizing Hungarian language courses, lectures, discusses and seminaries.

It cooperates with Światowy Związek Stowarzyszeń Węgierskich (International Union of Hungarian Associations).
